Where It All Began

Oakhill Academy is the brainchild of Tony Baron, a local businessman and Chairman of Oakhill College - one of the Valley’s leading independent schools. As part of the College’s development he decided to invest in an advanced sports hall which through the design and planning stage, grew into Oakhill Academy. Opened in the Autumn of 2007, this £multi-million, multi-purpose Fitness, Sports and Wellness centre, serves the whole community as well as being a world-class sports resource for the College.

As Individual As You Are

Individual personal attention and a family atmosphere are key elements of the College and this approach is also fundamental in the running of the Academy, making it unique amongst its peers. Where else can you join a centre that is family owned and managed and focuses so exclusively on providing individual attention?

Fitness, Sports & Wellness

This sense of individuality is also built into the gym equipment technology that records your own exercises against your own programme, combining it with data on your activities outside the centre, to give you your own Wellness profile.

Your dedicated Fitness Instructor will work with you to create a Wellness programme that specifically addresses your needs – whether your goals are athletic, general fitness and health, to shape up or to lose weight.

In addition to the latest gym facilities you can enjoy your favourite sports by booking one of the many indoor or outdoor courts for 5-a-side, cricket, bowling, tennis, hockey, netball, badminton, volleyball and much more.

Relax With a Spa Treatment 

If you've had enough of lifes stresses and strains and want to relax and promote your wellness, then one of our Decleor trained therapists can advise you on the best treatment to help you unwind. We offer a full range of ladies and mens Decleor treatments along with FakeBake tanning, NSI nails and Anthony Braden makeup. You can even purchase the products used in your treatment on site to continue your pampering at home.

If your running is your passion, or even just your pastime, the proposed Olympic quality athletics track will be a fantastic resource. The full size all weather pitch also currently in the pipeline will add yet another dimension to our facilities.
